Ugandan contractor forum focuses on safety

Hosted by Tullow Uganda’s EHSS Manager, David Newton, the event was also an opportunity to reemphasise the Group’s safety procedures outlined in the Tullow Safety Rules, which all contractors must follow.

SPEAKING ABOUT THE EVENT, DAVID NEWTON SAID:

“The safety of our staff and contractors is of paramount importance to Tullow so these types of events are essential for communicating performance, identifying potential issues and keeping safety at the front of everyone’s minds. The forums provide a platform to share lessons learned and industry best practices and also allows us to recognise proactive safety practices.”

Other key topics covered at the forum were Tullow’s Drug and Alcohol Policy as well as a presentation made by Crosby, a company partnered with East African Chains who are dealers of lifting equipment, accessories and services.
