Kweku joined Tullow Ghana Limited as Managing Director in March 2018 and became Executive Vice President, Ghana in March 2019. As EVP, Kweku is directly involved in all Executive matters while retaining full oversight of Tullow Ghana with responsibility for its business strategy, execution and growth as well as its two world class production assets in Ghana - Jubilee and TEN. It is the first time that a Tullow Ghana leader has become part of Tullow's Executive leadership. In leading the Tullow Ghana Business, Kweku is seeking to maximise production from its two FPSOs, and acquire additional exploration prospects to strengthen and grow Tullow’s business in Ghana. He aims to do so efficiently and cost-effectively, while driving innovation and developing Ghana's human resource and oil sector capacity. Kweku’s 30-year career spans the US and Africa, across the metals and mining, electricity and oil and gas industries in business planning, management and development roles. He has been involved in a number of start-ups such as Midway Resources International, an oil and gas E&P company, and Cenpower Generation Company, an independent power producer; and worked for companies that include Kaiser Aluminum in the US; and Ashanti Goldfields and the Volta River Authority (VRA) in Ghana.
