Tullow has been active in India since 1998 and currently has interests in two onshore Blocks, namely CB-ON/1 in Cambay and AA-ONJ-2 is Assam.

The Company's main focus is on Block CB-ON-1 (Tullow 50%) which lies within the prolific Cambay Basin, a region where a number of major oil discoveries have been made both to the north (Sanchor / Barmer Basin in Rajasthan) and to the south (Cambay Basin). Significant progress has been made in the evaluation of the block with the completion of the acquisition and processing of a 1,500 km 2D seismic programme. An additional 400km seismic programme was completed during 2007, focused at maturing a number of leads in the northern part of the block. Integration of this new data has resulted in the maturation of a number of prospects throughout the block. A multi well drilling campaign is scheduled to commence during the first half of 2008.
