Tullow holds interests in two production licences offshore Equatorial Guinea, covering the Ceiba field and the Okume Complex.

Production from the Hess operated Okume Complex development commenced, ahead of schedule, in December 2006. The project involves the integrated development of the Okume, Oveng, Ebano and Elon oil fields, collectively known as the Okume Complex. The development includes two tension leg platforms (TLP’s), four fixed platforms, and the drilling of over 40 wells.

Since first oil 15 production wells and five water injectors have been drilled. Production performance, particularly from the Elon field, has exceeded expectations and the field is currently producing 64,000 bopd from 13 producers. In 2008, 10 wells are planned and the complex is expected to achieve an average annual production of over 60,000 bopd.

Production levels from the Ceiba field during 2007 also exceeded expectations with average gross production of 42,750 bopd due to better than expected water injection performance, reservoir pressure management and subsea pump uptime. Production in 2008 is expected to average approximately 37,000 bopd.

Oil from Okume is blended with Ceiba production and exported via the Sendje Ceiba FPSO. In early 2008, the combined flow rates, from Okume and Ceiba, passing through the processing facilities exceeded 115,000 bopd for the first time.
