Tullow operates one licence offshore Angola with a 50% participating interest - block 1/06 in the Lower Congo Basin.

The block contains three undeveloped oil fields, Pitangueira, Bananeira and Sapesapeiro. As part of an appraisal program, the existing seismic data is being reprocessed and re-interpreted in order to decide on drilling locations for the first two commitment wells which are scheduled to commence in early 2009.

A full review of the block was carried out in 2007 to identify the most prospective areas. A 600 sq km 3D survey will be acquired over these areas during the first half of 2008.

Tullow has a long term commitment to building a business in Angola.
