Group Policies
Tullow is committed to continuous improvement in all its standards and practices and the Group works diligently to ensure compliance by all personnel involved in our activities with our EHS and CSR policies. Both these policies are reviewed annually, by the Board of Tullow, to ensure their ongoing suitability and effectiveness and are implemented and communicated widely across the Group. These policies are also translated into Portuguese, French, Bengali and Urdu.
We provide clear direction on key CSR initiatives, policies, performance data and targets. Everyone is expected to accept individual responsibility, authority and accountability for the safety of themselves and others, and everyone has an obligation to actively participate in promoting an effective EHS culture.
We regularly set, review and communicate our EHS objectives and targets with a view to continuous improvement in EHS performance and knowledge.
Our EHS and CSR policies are supported by very clear mandates in such areas as equal employment opportunity, corporate contributions philosophy and the Group’s corporate governance framework. These policies are complemented by local training initiatives in office safety and personal health, and Tullow also operates a medical referral and health-monitoring programme for employees.
As land transport has the potential to be a high risk activity in oil and gas industry, a corporate level driving policy was drawn up in 2006.
