2007 Goals & Objectives

In 2006, the EHS review process was significantly enhanced through direct engagement with country and business unit managers in an auditable and formalised process. The agenda for the 2006 review included:

  • The Group’s EHS and CSR policies;
  • EHS and CSR targets and objectives;
  • Overall environmental performance;
  • Results of the EHS audit programme;
  • Complaints, legal breaches and incidents;
  • Changing circumstances that could impact the IMS;
  • Status of corrective and preventative actions programme;
  • Progress on deliverables from the 2005 review; and
  • Identifying key risks for 2007.


The feedback from the 2006 review has been included in our 2007 EHS and CSR goals and objectives, which are:

  1. No significant environmental incidents;
  2. LTIFR for the end of 2007 below 0.90;
  3. Successful transition of Hardman Resources assets;
  4. Develop EHS action tracking system;
  5. Develop and implement EHS training matrix;
  6. Improve near miss reporting;
  7. Roll out new Accident and Investigation Procedures in each business unit;
  8. Implement ESIA template across the Group;
  9. Further develop CSR reporting and engagement with all stakeholders; and
  10. Enhance CSR section of the
