Excellent safety performance on complex operated projects
Operations in two countries had particularly strong
safety results. The Ensco 101 rig, on location at the Ketch
platform in block 44/28 in the UK SNS, achieved a whole year on
contract to Tullow with no LTIs. In fact, during the 365,244 hours
worked by the rig during the year there were no LTIs, no RWDCs or
MTCs and just four First Aid Cases (FAC). This is a particularly
impressive result in logistically complex operations, as the rig
had been moving between the Schooner and Ketch fields supporting
combined drilling, well intervention and production operations
throughout the period.
Our Bangladesh operations also achieved a notable performance. During the last two months of a seismic acquisition campaign, that began in 2005, we employed 2,349 personnel and worked in excess of 1.6 million hours without an LTI. Also, the Bangora production facility achieved 240 days without an LTI and the current drilling campaign in Bangladesh achieved 289 days without an LTI.
