Working with communities to prevent malaria

Tullow
operates in a number of regions where malaria is either a seasonal
or constant risk to our employees and the surrounding communities.
In Pakistan, for 2007, we have formalised the preventive measures
undertaken in 2006 and introduced a Malaria Management Programme in
conjunction with the Malaria Control Board of Pakistan. The
programme aims not only to reduce incidents of malaria in Tullow
employees and contractors, but also in the neighbouring
communities. Already this year, at the Chachar location, an
education programme has been delivered to the local community
together with mosquito nets for each family.
