For Tullow, having a local supplier base is a critical part of our business. By partnering with and developing these suppliers, it helps us to create value, manage cost and reduce risk, which in turn enables us to keep our projects running efficiently and profitably in the long term.
Supply Chain Management (SCM) manages the entire end-to-end supply chain from the identification of requirements to contracting & procurement, logistics & delivery, performance management and contract close-out. The SCM function aims to build an integrated supply chain model through strategic planning and competitive engagement of a diverse set of suppliers through fit-for-purpose contracts. We use the Coupa cloud-based tool for this.
