To build awareness and understanding of the different stages involved in the oil life cycle, Tullow continues to run 'Introduction to Oil & Gas' courses for a range of external audiences, taught by Robert Gordon University (RGU).

In early 2014, we provided this training to employees, political leaders and key representatives from the media in Kenya and Uganda.

The course covers the basics of Oil & Gas exploration and production, some of the key decisions and risks taken by oil companies, and challenges faced by national governments in developing a sustainable oil industry.

The course provided great insight into the scale and complexity of oil & gas operations. Understanding the various stages will enable us to make informed decisions that will support the growth of the sector.
