Following the sale of a two thirds interest in the Lake Albert Rift Basin to CNOOC and Total in February 2012, the Group now has an aligned partnership focused on completion an appraisal programme and development of the basin. In Namibia, following the signing of the Kudu field Petroleum Agreement in the third quarter of 2011, negotiations have resumed with NamPower to finalise the Project Development Agreement and Gas Sales Agreement heads of terms for the Kudu project, so that the design phase of the project can proceed.
